We should probably call the police who knows how long it’s been in the river.

Swimming

onychoprion:

"Did you ever wonder what it would be like to go swimming out among the stars? If this is my dream, we could fall into the night and be cradled by stars and still return to the place where we began."
— Katran, Myst: Book of Atrus

yea it was always super immersive!!! the atmosphere has really stuck with me it’s super informed a lot of like…. what i like a lot aesthetically???

I’ve even tried playing a lot of other point and click adventure games but none of them come even close with the atmosphere that you get with Myst or any of the sequels? They’re in a league of their own really- that feeling of desolation and confusion without really rushing you to complete anything so you can explore every single part of it? Myst Aesthetic 4 Eva

geoff i love how much you love myst i could never figure out that gd game as a kiddo but i always loved it!!!! i love that you love it!!!!

I just love that series so much I don’t even know how to describe it? Not even the first game at all because I feel like I never really got super into the gameplay of it but I love everything that it spawned and the stories that came out of it?! Also not to mention that the whole “writing an age” concept really made me want to write shit from a super young age.
